MOT: Zndr s a Rkr

First the Rzr, then Slvr, Q, finally Rkr. Did Zander put a thirteen year old IM-crazy girl in charge of product naming? Good move.
If he can deliver my next phone will be a Slvr.

Read the interview on BznzWk:

Q: Your rivals like Samsung, Nokia (NOK ) and others can react fast, and are already introducing copies of the Razr. How do you keep your design edge?

A: Just as these guys are getting the fact that thin is in, we're going to take thin to the next level and hit them over the head with Slvr [a sleek device shaped like a Hershey bar, due later this year]. Candy bar-shaped phones are still very popular. Slvr is going to take the fat out of those phones and introduce [the] low-carb candy-bar phone.

Q: What about the iTunes phone? Is that going to be released soon?
A: We have music phones shipping in Brazil and Europe [part of Motorola's Rokr line of phones]. Apple will be featured soon and [the iTunes phone] will happen this quarter.

The Daily WTF

For former hackers who have lost their way and now humping in BD, well you too could have 5 years' C-pound experience:

Scott C. Reynolds was looking for a strong C# developer a while back. He was kind enough to share the tale of one of the many, many unqualified recruits (who we'll call ā€œJā€œ) with us:

Me: So, J, you've told us about some stuff you did in VB.NET, what's your level of experience and comfort with C#?
J: Oh, C-Pound [yes, he said that], I use C-Pound all the time. I like C-Pound for the error handling [like the 15th time he's mentioned error handling to that point]
My Boss: So, you have had some good experience with C-SHARP then. That's good. Tell us about something you built with C-SHARP [emphasis his, not added]
J: Well, if you're going to talk about the language I'll just write with if I want to be comfortable, it's C-Pound. I like the code-behind-the-code of C-Pound.

Many more tales of programming disaster at The Daily WTF!
